About Us

The agricultural education program at Gallatin High School has a long history. Our program consists four different programs of studies. They are Veterinary (Animal) Science, Agriculture Engineering an Applied Technologies, Agribusiness, and Horticulture Science. These programs are supplemented with other agricultural courses as well.

All students who are enrolled in an agriculture class have the opportunity to join the FFA. Formerly know as the Future Farmers of America, the FFA is an organization designed to grow the future leaders of the agricultural industry. We participate in numerous Career Development Events, students operate their own Supervised Agricultural Experience programs, and we attend several leadership conferences and conventions throughout the year. Our chapter officers who are elected each year also help to plan out our chapters Program of Activities and yearly calendar.

There are currently two agriculture teachers at GHS. We also have access to great facilities including three classrooms, two greenhouses, and one agricultural mechanics shop.
